Are Android boxes worth the money? Netflix doesn't have shows we enjoy and satellite is so expensive for limited channels.?

It depends on what you want to do with one.

Please note, an Android box is basically an Android tablet that has no screen. Instead it plugs into your TV. Many (but not all!) of the things you'd use on a tablet can be used on these boxes.

That might give you access to some TV apps that other boxes, such as Roku or Apple TV, don't support but there are arguably better ways of getting those services on your TV for less money than using one of these boxes.

Based on the attached review, no. It seems you'll get even less programming than with Netflix.

It all depends on exactly what shows you enjoy, and exactly where they are available. If it's something on a major network, the options for Internet streaming by any means are limited, if they exist at all.

They are definitely worth the money. Whether you pick up a cheap box like a mxq or a high end box like the smartbox ultra, it's gonna save you money in the long run from subscribing to Netflix alone, let alone the saving you will make on cable.
