So my headlights on my 98 corolla aren t working. The high beams work but the low beams don t. I have changed the bulbs but that didn t work?
My friend s husband said the fuses are fine. I went and checked them myself but I don t know what I am looking for. Please help.

Remove the connector at the headlights and check for power and ground with both low and high beams with a multimeter or test light. Could be a bad relay, wire, ground, fuse or switch assembly. Most of the time, it is a corroded ground.

Get out your volt meter or test light. Turn on low beams. See if there is power to the wire that supplies the low beam. If yes, you have a bad socket.
If no, go to the fuse, is there power on both sides of the fuse? If yes the wire is bad.
If no the fuse is bad if there is power on one side of the fuse.
Beyond that, see your mechanic.
