She is an elected official and so can not be fired. She would have to be impeached by a vote of the state legislature and they are currently not in session and will not be back in session for several months....

She was elected, can't be fired. They have to impeach her with 2/3 the Kentucky GA, and the govt isn't in session until January.

I thought they could just fire her and then she wouldn't be in prison or anything like that , but you can't fire an elected official. She should resign. That way the government can stick someone in there who believes what they believe and as a believer she can go on with her life instead of being in jail.

She's an elected official. It's up to the Kentucky state legislature to remove her from office.

Now she's refusing to let her deputies issue licenses, interfering with their religious freedom. The hypocrisy never ends, does it?

Because she's a civil servant with the exact same protections as any OTHER civil servant!…I guarantee if she refused to issue a marriage license to a Baptist because she was a Jehovah Witness YOU'D be screaming about HER rights under the Separation of church and state, you lying sack of excrement!
