    Pretending that ALL LA teachers abuse kids, and NO OTHER teachers do is absurd.

    You're talking about ONE case.

    That said, in general, the No Child Act, the low pay, and lack of respect, has long pushed teachers out of the profession, and many schools have to take pretty much whoever they can get.

    Background checks don't predict the FUTURE.
