Why did China in the past before, the fall of the last Dynasty. What happen to their ability to make and invent new technologies?
Was it their decline or lack of competition.
They were know for their top inventions like compass, gunpowder, paper, porcelain, guns/cannons, noodles, printing press, and etc.

You do realize the last imperial dynasty of China, was the Qing ruling from 1644 to 1912 with a brief, abortive restoration in 1917? Although they did not invent as many new technologies as in the past they imported the new technologies from other counties.

No, it was not "their decline." No, it was not "lack of competition." There wasn't really even a big loss of ability to "make and invent new technologies," but to the extent that there was, there were several causes: incompetent government, and incursions by Western and Japanese imperialists who drained resources from the country.
