What do you think of the name Christian for a non-Christian family?
I love the name Christian but my husband and I are atheists. My last intention is to offend anyone. What do you think?

I think it's up to you and your husband do decide if you feel comfortable with it and the message it conveys. I think it's a wonderful name, although I would also probably assume that the family is Christian or at least slightly religious. However if he goes by Chris I'm sure people would think nothing of it, and even if he didn't I doubt anyone would care too much. There's no rule saying you have to be Christian to use the name, and as a Christian myself, I don't think it's disrespectful if that's what you're worried about (although others could disagree), but you may get a few questions.

I love the name Christian and yes, do use this. You never know how your son may feel one day, he may turn to religion, he may not but whatever walk of life he takes, he will have a very good, masculine name.

I think if you see it as an name and not religion, it would be fine.
If you call him Chris, short for Christian what the matter.
You could try an name similar like Tristian.

It is a bizarre choice for an atheist. Does your husband love it, too? If so, let your conscience be your guide.
