1 dollar = 0.89 euros
Dose that mean a dollar is worth more or less? Please give an brief explanation and steps on how to know such things. Thx in advance.

It's a little confusing and Garry has it completely WRONG. If 1 US dollar = 0.89 euros, then the euro is worth about 12% MORE than the dollar. You could state it differently: 1 euro = $1.12. The number fluctuates minute by minute. There is some talk that the euro might go down in value until it is the same as the dollar (known as "parity") but if it happens, it will take a few years. No one can say for sure. But for now, the euro is worth MORE than the dollar.

Less. Think about what that means. If something costs .89 euros, you'd have to pay a whole dollar for it, but less than euro.
