The archaeological evidence of the Bible is scarce. In fact, it is non-existent. How do you know the bible is right? (NO biblical verses)?

  • Even if the archaeological evidence of the Bible were not scarce, and, in fact, it not is not non-existent, that would STILL not mean you could know the bible is right.

Archaeological evidence would not prove that the Bible's god exists any more than the fact that the finding of the city of Troy exactly as it is described in the Iliad proves that the Greek gods exist.

The people of that time were superstitious and myth oriented and they frequently interpreted events accordingly when they wrote their accounts of events.

Of course, their accounts of earlier events and origins were pure myth.

It is endless! What are you talking about!? Get a kjversion Bible and believe. Jesus Christ is the truth. The entire nation of egypt shows the Bible is true, see, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqKqRHNVYb0 and so on. All the events are as written as well,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaXAgJ3sOvw and so on. As the man said, the scholarly world has fallen silent. THeir lies mean nothing when they know they have found all the things!!! And see here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdSExDE8EsU Very interesting at the second half as well where shows atheists in complete denial. Why do you believe the lies they keep saying? WHy do they omit all these facts to deceive you? "If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?"- The Word of God. They don't want you to believe the earthly things because then you will believe the heavenly things. Get a kjversion Bible and believe. Jesus loves you. I didn't even touch on all the other things like, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tX9eDTNfQHY and part 2. Would anyone like to explain why the planets in space show the Bible and not lie of millions of years of evolution? They can't so they don't mention it and keep lying. They made prediction and Russ there made prediction based on Bible and 6000yrs. When the data came back from space, guess what? Evolution destroyed again and

Bible shown correct again. Entire planets are telling you to trust the Bible and you still say, there is no evidence? You are being deceived. Creation is soo obvious that evolutionists have had to make up own false creator to keep denying the Bible because they hate the truth. Jesus Christ is the truth. Now they say, "well maybe aliens made it then!" after saying for 200yrs or so there is no evidence for creation! Sick denial. And check out even geologists admit rock layers must have formed rapidly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38Bp-ZWyQj8 and so on. Jesus loves you.

IF you are asking an honest question and want to know the answer, with out anyone using bible verses, then you must be willing to find out the answer. IF this is the case, just read it, especially the book of Revelation. If you do this, whether or not you read anything else, you will clearly see things there that are happening NOW. That being said, keep watching. Everything predicted in the bible is coming to pass. You may call me nutty, but you will see if you see it with your own eyes. Now, if the bible is false, how can it possibly have been written so long ago and be so accurate?

A report published in 1971 shows that there are possibly 6,000 handwritten copies containing all or part of the Hebrew Scriptures; the oldest dates back to the third century B.C.E. Of the Christian Greek Scriptures, there are some 5,000 in Greek, the oldest dating back to the beginning of the second century C.E. There are also many copies of early translations into other languages.

In the introduction to his seven volumes on The Chester Beatty Biblical Papyri, Sir Frederic Kenyon wrote: “The first and most important conclusion derived from the examination of them [the papyri] is the satisfactory one that they confirm the essential soundness of the existing texts. No striking or fundamental variation is shown either in the Old or the New Testament. There are no important omissions or additions of passages, and no variations which affect vital facts or doctrines. The variations of text affect minor matters, such as the order of words or the precise words used . . . But their essential importance is their confirmation, by evidence of an earlier date than was hitherto available, of the integrity of our existing texts.”—(London, 1933), p. 15.

What you have said here is the opposite of true.

Five minutes of research and this, "The archaeological evidence of the Bible is scarce. In fact, it is non-existent," falls apart. The Bible matches history and archaeology.

If you are having a problem with the government, are you going to ask local police for advice? My point is. Meditate/pray to God. Ask God what things in the bible are true.what things are not explained clearly. Ask God to show you what things the church has distorted. The Bible, as a whole, has truth. But you have to know that God is a spiritual being, not physical. So some things are written spiritually, or symbolically. Obviously in the last days, the earth will not rip apart and three headed dragons will not be flying out of the sky! I have a blog, check it out: deewimley.weebly.com.

There is archaeological evidence for some of the stories in the Bible. This is because the Bible is myth. There is a trick that myth and fiction writers use to pull their readers in, they take a real event and place their protagonists into that event thus giving credibility beyond the story.

The Bible is written in this way, it does not mean it is true, just as there never was an Admiral Hornblower or Biggles.

Not to defend the theists or anything...

But the Bible is a story. It was intended to teach and inspire. It wasn't intended to teach facts.

Ancient people were FAR less hung up on factual details than we are because it was often impossible for them to get such details. They had literacy rates of under 15% and books often cost more than high end sports cars do today. Think about this -- As an elementary school student, you knew more about the world than all but the most learned men in the past few hundred years.

It makes me wonder what is printed in Biblical Archaeology Review.

As a matter of fact - you don't mind me introducing a fact into the conversation do you? - Archaeologists who once scoffed at the bible now use it in searching for ancient sites.
