I have an amazing photo to sell?

I have one of those "you won't believe this" photos to sell, pretty mind-blowing actually and I would be interested in selling it to a news outlet.

Anyone have any advice on the best way to go about doing that ?

    First off, news by its nature goes stale very quickly. So you better have taken this image today or it's old news, and old news doesn't sell.

    Good luck. They typically offer the public to upload them without pay. What exactly is the photo of?

    Contact a news outlet! But unless the "amazing" aspect outweighs the "immediate news" aspect, you may already be too late. Maybe "man eating dog"?
