I bought it as a back up for cable tv. It was simple to hook up and the TV programmed itself. The window screen must have interfered with the signal. I moved it to the wall over the window and did a channel search. It gets 42 channels, clear as can be.The antenna worked exactly as advertised. Oh, I bought the Vinovo one. Cheaper than other sellers.

most TV sets can use those antennas to get the reception of the local channels near the person's residence ; the problem is that for some people, they don't live close enough to the local TV stations in order for the indoor antenna to work + it will not get reception for any channels like espn, fox sports, etc
