It's not contradicting. It's just never been explained in a way you understand it. We have a body, soul and spirit. We were made in the image of God. We are a soul with a spirit and a body. Even though we have three separate components, we are still one person or being. If we are made in the image of God, in the very likeness of God, wouldn't it stand to reason that our Creator is also the same and He has a Soul, Spirit, and Body? The God head (The Father) the soul, the very essence or core of who we are, our mind, will and emotion. The Spirit, the breath of life, the existence of the soul and the body, the life force, the consciousness of who we are, the part of us that makes it possible to talk to God, be influenced by the Spirit, hear from the Spirit. The body, formed from dust of the earth by God, to serve as a temporal vehicle for the spirit and soul while on earth. God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus. One God, three components, separate in function yet one in the same because They are all God and what makes God, God. God's name is Jesus. That's why there's so much power in His name. That's why we're told to do everything in His name. Jesus, the name above every name, not every name but God's name, because it is God's name.

Ok, I'll go back further. In the bible, God' was married to His people. They were called His bride. He was in covenant with them They cheated on God multiple times and He accepted them back with loving arms. Finally God's bride wanted a divorce, because they wanted other gods. Even though God didn't like divorce, He granted them one because under Jewish law a divorce was permitted in infidelity. Jewish law also states that a husband can not take his wife back after a divorce, nor can the woman remarry. The way a woman could remarry was if her husband died. Her HUSBAND, not her husband's son. The only thing that made Jesus God's Son, was the fact that He born of woman and was God's bloodline. All God's people were sons and daughters of God. If Jesus wasn't God, then the whole bible is lie. If Jesus is our Lord and savior, how is that not putting someone above God Himself? It breaks the first commandment. Little things that people don't take into consideration.

Yes it is possible to understand our Creator; not all his ways though, as Ecclesiastes 3:11 states, but certainly the most vital parts of his personality, which can be found in his word, the bible.

Well, yes you can believe whatever you want to believe but your beliefs will not save you. Far better to study the bible and believe what God tells you is the truth. That way you can gain everlasting life in the next world.
