During the French Revolution French women fought along with French men for and end to the monarchy and civil rights but when the constitution was written up women were excluded as always. That started a movement to include the women who fought along side the men in the revolution. Olympe de Gouges wrote "Declaration of the Rights of Woman and the Female Citizen" in 1791. From then on women started to demand the vote. Not long after she wrote this she lost her head as many did after the revolution but that did not stop French women from wanting what they thought they had fought for.

The fact that the Statue of Liberty (given to the USA by France) is a woman or Delacroix's painting is a woman shows that at least French artists acknowledged the role of women in their revolution - sadly the politicians did not.

I find it sad that you do not think women should automatically have the same rights as men - given that they are human beings, just like men.

Rights of women grew and diminished over 25 centuries of European history with a slow and steady growth after the 1600's. Which rights are you talking about? Property, inheritance, marriage, religious, civil or the last to be won which were political? Julius Caesar was first to expand women's rights by giving them the right to independently own, inherit and bequeath property. And so many wealthy Roman women a couple of generations later were giving money to that new cult, you know the one.

    > ..."gave rights to women in Europe?"

That was simply a matter of convenience. Travelling OUTSIDE of Europe to give them rights would have meant long queues at the airport.

Because women are also human like men. The proof is if women weren't human they wouldn't be able to breed with men due to large genetic differences.

When you say "people," you are clearly referring to men while excluding women...therefore I do not think any amount of trying to explain human rights to you, in the context of women being people too, is going to do any good in your case.
