The apostle John was privileged to see and report on the heavenly city (Revelation 21:10-27). John witnessed that heaven (the new earth) possesses the "glory of God" (Revelation 21:11), the very real presence of God. Because heaven has no night and the Lord Himself is the light, the sun and moon are no longer needed (Revelation 22:5).

The city is filled with the brilliance of costly stones and crystal clear jasper. Heaven has twelve gates (Revelation 21:12) and twelve foundations (Revelation 21:14). The paradise of the Garden of Eden is restored: the river of the water of life flows freely and the tree of life is available once again, yielding fruit monthly with leaves that "heal the nations" (Revelation 22:1-2). However eloquent John was in his description of heaven, the reality of heaven is beyond the ability of our finite minds to describe or envision (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Heaven is a place of "no mores". There will be no more tears, no more pain, and no more sorrow (Revelation 21:4). There will be no more separation, because death will be conquered (Revelation 20:6). The best thing about heaven is the presence of our Lord and Saviour (1 John 3:2). We will be face-to-face with the Lamb of God, who loves us and sacrificed Himself so that we can enjoy His presence in heaven for eternity.

It has been over 30 years since I became Born Again speaking in tongues and I have met those that our Lord took to heaven but only one was ever been within heaven and her name was Barbara and she was in a car wreak and died..... She said as she appeared in Heaven she was met by her words was Mary and she had a ladle in her hand and bent down and dug a hold in the ground and water appeared and gave her a drink and as she took it a voice came saying I am not ready for you yet and was returned.... She said she was not able to remember more are would not tell me but she has died since then. There been two others and from them I know the book of life is in a huge room beside the throne room and all I got out of him it was big but what got him there was no shadows and the other said before God's Judgment Seat is a mountain of books and when we stand before him our book would come from the mountain and only be open if our name is not written in the book of life.....Thank you Jesus.....I also have met three people that seen hell and that I want go into for I heard its crowded there.......and Jesus said,"They made the choice".......

The Bible does say what those select few who will be going to heaven will do. Few Christians know this or have read it. Most base their beliefs on what others have told them and not God's Word The Bible.

    Revelation 5:9,10

with your blood you bought people for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”

    Revelation 20:6

they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and they will rule as kings with him for the 1,000 years.

The Bible shares those going to heaven will be priests and kings along with Jesus. Since it is called God's Kingdom and we know from the Bible who will be ruling, who will be the subjects or citizens of that kingdom?

    Matthew 5:5

Happy are the mild-tempered, since they will inherit the earth.

    Psalm 37:11

But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

    Proverbs 2:21

For only the upright will reside in the earth, And the blameless will remain in it.

What are the results or benefits of this government?

    Revelation 21:3-5

With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” 5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”

ok, so it will be eternal, what concerns me is that if w/o the good things that we have in this life...e.g. sports, entertainment, food, music, games, romance, etc...wouldnt it be a boring life? just imagine yourself doin the same thing (for eternity) w/o leave or RnR or vacation or break?

good things includes BEER and laughter w/ friends while watching a ball game or a boxing match of your favorite team...

good things includes eating burgers and popcorn w/ your love ones on movie nights

good things includes falling in love w/ someone and being together like adam & eve

point is, not all in this current earth are evil...? does the new earth wipes out evil and retains what is good?

    just askin
