  • What is the meaning of Hebrews 6:4-6? (Christian answers only please).?

For whatever reason, every time I read this passage of Scripture, the words frighten me. I don't really understand exactly what it means.

    Please, genuine answers only.

  • Christian women: What do you think makes you beautiful?

Do you wear the latest fashions, wear jewelry and get piercings/tattoos, polish your nails or undergo manicures/pedicures, apply elaborate makeup and have your hair done by a stylist in a salon? Do you think these things make a woman beautiful?

    1 Peter 3:3-5

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful.

Do you live the way that the women did in ancient times? How do you contemplate your own beauty in your walk with God?

  • How should Christians stand up for their faith in such an anti-Christian world?

Critics of Christianity have become far more vocal recently. This is partly because there are many people who do not believe in God or understand the truth about Him at all. Yet the apparent increase of anti-Christians is also due to perception. Those who truly despise Christianity are the loudest and most vocal of the non-believers. The vast majority of those who do not believe don't care enough to bother believers. The few angry, vocal, bitter unbelievers make enough noise to seem more numerous than they are.

Christians, do you believe this is true?

  • Atheists: Who, what or where do you receive your 'source' of love from?

Since you do not acknowledge God at all, who IS love (1 John 4:16), then what is the origin or most vital part of what you know about love and where love actually comes from? For example, where does a parent's love toward their child come from? Or where does your love for family members and fellow human beings come from? What about love between a romantic couple? Do these all have the same source, or are they different in any way?

Considerate answers only please. And please, no crude language. Thank you.
