Am I the only one that finds the Pokemon games repetitive?

Except the new game Pokemon go that Im excited about, don't you notice that all pokemon (random color/letter) games look and act exactly the same?

I'm a Pokémon fan and I kind of understand you, but see, it's a tough situation for Game Freak. Pokémon's core gameplay is very well-established at this point, and changing it up just wouldn't go over well with a lot of fans. Black and White were more experimental with a lot of series fundamentals, and although they were still successful they clearly didn't go over as well with long-time fans. You'll notice that since about 2013 or so, they've been playing it very safe with the new games and marketing, to the point of pandering to older fans and their nostalgia for the original games. It's what's been successful for them, so why change much?

tl;dr Game Freak tried making Pokémon less repetitive with BW and got a lukewarm reception, so now they're sticking firmly to their comfort zone

How is this different from any other Concept of any other Video Game series?

    - The only people who claim Game Freak's Pokémon series is repetitive are those who never even play the series or aren't fan of the series, Pokémon has a lot more mechanical changes, plot line differences and history then say Ubisoft's Assassins Creed series which has been EA's Madden since Day One.

Yes, they can get repetitive, but it's what the fans want so there's not a whole lot of reason to change too much of it. At least they're fun and can last a while before they get too repetitive, plus, battles with other players are always pretty dynamic as long as you're not constantly using the same strategies.

The only Pokemon version I have played is the Ruby. And yes, I find it repetitive too. Except that they are releasing new breed every "new" Pokemon game, nothing else is "new"
