Question about physical exam?

Hello,

I am getting my first pelvic exam at the gyn in November. Therefore, since I will have an Ob/Gyn take care of the pelvic exam, do I still need a physical with a family physician or internist? If so, what would this physical consist of for a 25 year old female? ?Any help is greatly appreciated.

No, you don't need to keep having your other physical unless you need it for a drivers license or such. Once you start having pelvic exams, they check the important stuff anyway. I'm guessing you know what your pelvic exam includes - but they also check your heart and weight and stuff at a pelvic exam.
