Help! Budgie might have broken leg or be sick!!!?

Hi all,

Im worried about my budgie snowy, he has recently hurt his foot i think because he has been favouring one leg and the other has been hanging down from his perch. He has been all puffed up bent over and has his head down with eyes closed. I heard if a budgie breaks their leg you should take perches out and put soft paper on yhe ground so they get used to walking on both legs. I put one perch back in incase it was hurting him but now hes all hunched down on the ground and once again his leg is sitting out behind him and he is nearly lying on the ground looking very poorly. I plan to take him to the vet if it doesnt get better but vets cant do much with a budgies leg apart from lrt it heal. Is there anything i van do to make him happier or make him better?? Please help i hate seeing him like this :(

Don't WAIT to take him to the vet! Birds are VERY good at hiding serious symptoms; he's likely worse than he's letting on. Sitting puffed and hudled at the bottom of the cage is a BAD SIGN. If the leg is broken, it could easily become infected or may begin to heal improperly, requiring even more intense vet care. A vet can do a lot more than just "let it heal." They can diagnose a problem, prescribe antibiotics, pain medications, etc, splint and cast broken legs and preform surgery.

I would get this bird to the vet TODAY, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Imagine how much pain he could he in!
