I'm looking to buy a 2009 BMW but it has done 80'000 miles. Is that to high?

I plan on keeping it for five years. Will it last me that long?

If you maintain it it should be fine depending on the mileage you do every year.

A friend put 2500 miles a week on his BMW for several years. He maintained it perfectly and it did not give him any trouble.

Bad maintenance not miles kill cars.

Hi the modern car has a life expectancy of just 8 years or 100k miles. beyond which it becomes a money pit. this is the modern fact of life. so time to thinking more in terms of replacing the whole car. not just the engine it also has an engine management system the computer which controls how the engine works. so it is not just case of changing this or that.
