In most gyms there are weighing scales that you put £1 into, step on and they tell you your weight, height, BMI and body fat.

Are these scales really reliable?

I'm currently dieting to lose weight. I'm doing a normal healthy diet and exercising six days a week. This is stuff I've never normally done. I've completed one week and I've some how put on 2lbs. How is this physically possible when Im eating less and better than I used to and also exercising far more than I used to?

Part of the interview consists of a numeracy test which you don't need to be a mortgage advisor for. The test comes with a calculator. What sort of questions would I expect? Has anyone ever done a test like that before?

Also my job before my current one I was dismissed. I worked in banking as a cashier and had some cash errors and was one error over their limit which led to dismissal. The amounts were minor but they had to follow procedure. Should I mention this at interview? If so, how? Since that job I've worked in Human Resources.

My Akita is a girl and she's 9 months old. When we got her at 3 months old we did buy her a bed which she ended up chewing up. We bought another at about 6 months old and she did the same. Now she's older and much bigger she chooses to sleep on the floor in the kitchen which is cold laminate flooring. I have laid out a thick blanket instead of a dog bed for her and she ignores it and would rather sleep on the floor. Is there a reason why she does this? Is it bad that I haven't bought her an actual dog bed because I think she'll either ignore it or chew it?

So my boyfriend works during the day but has got another job as nightclub promoter. This means he managed a small team of street promoters, some of who are girls. He uses a work Facebook which he is on A LOT and messaging A LOT. I ask him "oh who's that" or "what did they say" and he's told me straight that it has nothing to do with me. He told me he wanted to keep me away from that job as I am his personal life and that is his work life and he doesn't want to mix the two. He has his own personal Facebook and this work one and I've noticed he's added some of the girls he manages on his personal Facebook. I reminded him that he said he wanted to keep work and personal seperate and he said he can add who he wants and I need to stop worrying. He said he wants to keep me away from this nightclub job so I don't end up worrying or fretting but this is making it worse. I'm not allowed to know anything, I can't see who he talks to, he's adding these people on his personal Facebook now. Before he got this job he took my photo off his phone wallpaper because it "wasn't professional". I'm worrying a lot and starting to think maybe there's something else going on I'm not allowed to know or is he just doing this to make sure I don't get paranoid and he's actually trying to help? I don't know how to feel or what to do.

Im 21 and currently drive a 1.0 ltr petrol car. Im looking at buying a new one which is 1.4 and Diesel. It states it can get 72mpg which seems really good but I'm not sure if my driving is better suited to a petrol.

Every day I drive 14 miles in town areas so going through traffic lights and so on. Every month I do at least one motorway journey at about 60mph non stop for about 20 minutes.

Will this car be good for me?

Me and him have been together for over a year. We are engaged and we are young. He's quite a popular guy so a lot of girls and guys know him, especially on nights out. He also has a lock on his phone and refuses to let me go on it because once I did and he caught me and said he didnt trust me with his phone. Ever since then he wont let me go on it. I never went on it a lot. But...anyways, so he wont let me on his phone. Now I stay at his every night near enough and hes now got a job at a nightclub on the weekends.

Something about this is making me really paranoid. He already has another job and I dont like the idea of him working in a club whilst im at home alone. I understand some of you say hes allowed to work where he wants to which is exactly what he says.

But im really paranoid. From what I know hes never cheated on me. Thats what he tells me and Ive never been told he has so from what Im aware of he hasnt. But...theres something inside me making me really paranoid about this. What if one night we argue and he gives his number out to spite me? Or worse?

I know a lot of you will say im over reacting and being pathetic but im writing this because I want help to deal with the paranoia. Paranoia is a mental problem that cant always be helped. How have any of you overcome paranoia? What can I do to calm myself down?

My current car has something like 35.8mpg. I dont know if that's Urban, combined or extra urban. Im looking to get a new car. If I was to get one with for example 60mpg Urban would that mean if I put £20 petrol in it would last longer than my current car. I want something where I can put £20 petrol in and it would last me a while. Now it lasts a few days in my current car.

If someone could explain MPG and cost of petrol etc that would be great. Im a relatively new driver and this would be my 2nd car

I've been with him over a year now and he has had some issues in his life that do get him down and they are things out of his control. My brother suffers from depression and I've spoke to my boyfriend about it for comfort but he always dismissed it saying depression isn't a real illness and that it's attention seeking.

Today I took him to a doctors appointment. He never told me he booked one. He never told me what for. After it he got his prescription which turned out to be anti depressants. I asked him why he never discussed his feelings with me and this made me sad. He said because I cant change anything. It hurts me to know he used to say it wasn't real and now he's on pills for it but never spoke to me about it. He doesn't see why that hurts me.

The ones he is taking are fluoextine which apparently are for major depression disorder. He told me they were for minor depression and he can stop them whenever. But that's not what my research is saying. They can make things worse and can decrease his libido, cause erectile dysfunction and lack of wanting sex. Apparently they also change peoples perception of love.

I'm scared they are going to change him and change his opinion of me. Im scared they might decrease his sexual desires, find me less attractive and our sex life will go down hill. I feel that this is going to effect me and effect us and I'm not sure what to do or how to feel.

Any advice?

I have an interview and the salary is between 15100 - 16700

I presume if succesful they would offer me the minimum. Im already on 15000 and wanted more. How do I go about saying I'd like it to start around the 16 mark

I dont want anyone to say "just leave him" or put stupid comments. I want those who have experienced this to help me. I've been with my partner for just over a year. He's 20. Im 21. We're both young but mature. On our year together he proposed to me. He actually said "Will you be engaged to me" to which I said yes.

He's not a bad person. I do love him. We've had and still do have many amazing times together. We argue like all couples do and disagree but recently I've found him to be more controlling. I want a new car eventually and he's persuading me to get a BMW. To the point where hes taking me to look at BMWS, not allowing me to look around, he's ringing places on my behalf for BMWS and even offering to pay towards getting one but isnt this what he wants? I like BMWS but not as much as him. It's like he wants me to get one because he likes them and he can't even drive.

The next thing is he lives in a house with housemates. I've been staying over lately to the point where its every night. I havent stayed at my house for ages and I do miss seeing my family cause Im with him like every day. He makes me feel bad whenever I want to see anyone else or do other things.

I plan on keeping it for five years. Will it last me that long?

I want to get a loan for car but at the moment my credit score is 727 out of 999. (999 being excellent).

I have had a £500 credit card which I maxed and have had some over limit charges for. If I was to completely pay this off and even close the credit card completely how long will it take for my credit score to change?

As soon as the score is above 800 it will be 'good' and I'll be able to take out a loan for a new car.

I think somethings going on with my boyfriend and Snapchat. Not that long ago I went on his phone and saw he had been snapchatting two girls which he said were his friends, that he's allowed to communicate with them, and it was nothing bad. Since then his phones going in for repair and he's got a replacement and he was adamant he wanted Snapchat on it. Now he's got it back his snaochatt score has just been increasing meaning he's sending and receiving them.

I just think why did he need it so bad? Why did he want it on the replacement phone so bad? He won't talk to me over Facebook etc when we're not together but this score just keeps increasing. Its like he's talking to someone else instead of me.

If I ask him why he'll say I'm paranoid for even looking at his score. He'll also say that its his phone he can do what he want and that whoever it is is his friend.

But I just feel like he's taking more time to talk to someone else instead of me. I don't know how to feel or what to say or where to start

He's my fiance but we've been together a year. Yesterday when he wasn't looking I went on his phone and looked at his Snapchat and saw he'd been snapping two girls as well as me. He came over and caught me. I know I shouldn't of done and I've apologized and said sorry but he has been on my phone before. He said he's allowed to talk to both guys and girls and he said he never said anything inappropriate. He said they were his friends but he didn't even know their full name, just their username which makes me think he doesn't even know them.

Since then he's been awkward with me and I can understand why but he's been like this for a while. I feel like he can't be bothered to speak to me cause when he does its usually blunt simple replies. What can I do to change this? I'm trying to be as nice as I can, helping him out with things and see in him often but I just feel like he's getting a bit bored of me

I'm a female and will soon be working out in the gym. I used to but never stuck at it. This time I really want to. I'm already quite slim but have a slight podgy belly I want to sort out so I'll be doing cardio as well as strength training such as lifting, curling and squats etc.

I'm not trying to bulk or be a bodybuilder. Im also going to be bettering my diet. But when I'm at the gym when do I take my protein powder with water? Do I have to do this after workouts or like all the time?

Boyfriend keeps saying things that makes me feel like he doesn't like me the way I am. I'm blonde and he'll say why don't you dye your hair brown, why don't you curl it all over like a perm, you should cut your hair short, you should squat more, you should drink more water I'll buy you a new face wash. Things that make me feel like he wants me to look totally different or to be how he wants me to be. Is this just guys being guys not knowing how to talk to girls? Or is it deeper than that? Should I address it?

I have seen an offer at a local hairdressers for a full head colour and half head foils?

What is the difference between this, a full colour and a full head of highlights?

Do they dye your hair a full colour and then put high/lowlights in?

My MOT is next week and its my first car and first MOT I will be having done on it myself. Its a 2001 Toyota Yaris 1.0 so its quite old. It takes a while to start and doesn't sound to good but it always takes me places!

I have had problems with it before, I had a new gearbox fitted recently and a new clutch. The engine also slipped out a tiny bit so that was repaired to.

The inside of my car is great condition. Everything works, everythings fine. My right back brake light doesnt light up brighter when I press my brakes. My wipers work well, my mirrors are fine.

I'm just worried it might fail on the brake light and maybe the exhaust/suspension. I cant think of anything else that would make it unworthy of being on the road.

If it did fail on that, how much do you think that'd cost to repair? If they did it that day for me, would a re-test be free?

I'm kind of struggling with my finances later, not massively though, but I have my MOT to do before 17th June. My cars old, its my first car and its a Toyota Yaris 1.0 2001. When I put the key in it takes a while to start but it always does and its taken me everywhere, just doesn't sound so good when it starts.

I also have a back brake light out which I need to get fixed I know. I just don't want it to fail cause if it fails I have to pay for the repairs and for another re-test.

Shall I get it serviced? What happens in a service? Do they fix anything?

If it needs anything fixing can they do it if I pay them?
