Is a 1.4 Diesel car good for me?
Im 21 and currently drive a 1.0 ltr petrol car. Im looking at buying a new one which is 1.4 and Diesel. It states it can get 72mpg which seems really good but I'm not sure if my driving is better suited to a petrol.
Every day I drive 14 miles in town areas so going through traffic lights and so on. Every month I do at least one motorway journey at about 60mph non stop for about 20 minutes.
Will this car be good for me?

I don't understand why it wouldn't be a good car for you. If it gets great gas mileage and gets you to where you need to go, it's a good car.
