12. Factor completely: 12x^4 - 16x^3 + 4x^2
(4x²)(3x² -4x +4)
(4x²)(3x -1)(x -1)
16. Solve and simplify id possible: x^2/x-2 - 4/x-2
I ASSUME you meant x^2/(x-2) - 4/(x-2)
So
(x² -4)/(x-2)
but
x² -2 factors to (x +√2)(x-√2)
so
(x +√2)(x-√2)/(x-2)

#12
12x^4 - 16x^3 + 4x^2
4x^2(3x^2 - 4x + 1)
4x^2 (3x -1)(x - 1)
#16
x^2/x^-2 - 4/x^-2
x^4 - 4x^2
x^2( x^2 - 4)
x^2(x - 2)(x + 2 )
