Have any of you used AquaCare Anti-Algae and was it effective?

No, I do not use dangerous poisons or algaecide in my tanks. However, this particular product is not an algaecide, and does nothing to algae growing on decorations. It just clumps particles together so the filter can catch them. If you do not literally have green water, it will not do anything.

Algae is a symptom, and often its appearance can be helping to fix the cause - like high nitrates. To properly remove the algae, remove what is causing the algae. Algae is not dangerous to the fish, but what is causing the algae might be dangerous to the fish.
