Why Europe has no it's own search engine, email and social network when even Russia has their own?

There are local search engines, local social networks, etc in many European countries. But they're not in English so you wouldn't know about them.

Russia is a country in Europe. Europe is not a single country. Each country in Europe has it's own ISPs etc.
