Obviously. Even a Satanist on death row can ask for a Catholic's prayers. A good one will pray for you. An ordinary one will consider your request. A bad one might be annoyed and curse you for asking.

Despite the reaction, it is OK.

Let's do it this way. Let's identify WHO is a Christian first. A Christian is one who strives to live as Christ or be like Christ. If you think the person praying for you acts or strives to be like Christ through his/her life then certainly it is proper to ask for prayers from such entities. Not all Catholics are Christians. Not all Protestants are Christians and not all Islamic are Christians. Just because you were born into that Church or religions does not identify that you are what you claim you are.

It's always good to ask Christians for prayers. Catholic Church is the body of Christ.

?? Catholics do it all the time. Since they are Christian, I don't see why not, especially the devout ones. "The effective fervent prayers of the righteous avail much." James 5:16
