Researching your ancestry if you prove and cite using real records is likely to be accurate, however the further you go back the less written records there are and those have less less information meaning it is more difficult to prove.

AncestryDNA doesn't tell you anything about your ancestry, it is a product bought to entertain you and you can entertain yourself lots of times by having lots of tests as you will get a different "result" each time you do it.... then what people do is say " Oh that is a surprise" or " Who would have known" so entertained!

Danielle, it does no good to keep asking the same question. On some of these boards for Yahoo Answers there are so many questions, in about 5 minutes your question will be on Page 5 and a lot of the regulars who are experts on the subject will not see it. Not true for the Genealogy Board. We don't have that many question. You can ask a question in the wee hours of the morning and it will still be the first question shown by the late afternoon. So everyone who knows anything about the subject of genealogy DNA question has already seen your question over and over.

It's as accurate as any of the DNA tests. The company that did mine said 2% - 5% of the people who get tested find results they were not expecting, due to infidelity or hidden adoptions.
