It's Great to see but why can Britain build the Type 26 Frigate (GLOBAL Combat Ship) while the USA has "cut back" to Littoral Combat Ships?

Never been a fan of the LCS I think it was a waste of money. We still have a disproportionate amount of surface ships to include Cruisers and Destroyers and the DDX is coming on line. We don't need to emulate anything the Royal Navy does.

Because these ships serve little use when our tactics center around bombing countries who's oil we want.

We spend more on our military than the next seven countries combined.

Being a small island nation, a relatively strong navy is important to the UK.
