    Religion:

    Manipulative, decieving, power-hungry, ritualistic practices.

    Belief:

Having a conviction about something, stay true to your ideas, having something to fight for.

Holding a belief isn't harmful of itself, everybody has their own beliefsystem. But when you mix belief with dangerous religious teaching you can get some pretty dangerous people..

Religion is man made doctrine. In other words a way or system of beliefs. Belief is a state of being or an actuality or realism. You can have religion without being saved. But if you have true belief, then you are saved.
