What if you were wrong along?

What if ever piece of knowledge you had available, ever theory, every belief, ever fact and concept you thought was the truth was relieved to be a total lie

what would you say or do?

This would not phase me because unlike most sheep I don't believe all I hear and question things from the Holocaust to the moon landings.

We only know what we're told and 80% is lies.

Start over and learn the facts.

Consider it to be just one thing that you are wrong about. What do you do when you discover the truth?

Some people believe that Ringo was the first drummer for The Beatles. What do they do when they learn that he wasn't?

I do not think that it could ever happen, as I accumulate facts and information, check them, analyze them and test them, see where they fit pragmatically into how the world works, and adjust and react accordingly.

I do not blind myself to bad news, and misinformation is avoided as far as it possibly can be. The latter I have learned from the time when I was much younger and much more idealistic. You have to learn the realities of this world and adapt to them. There is no point accepting dumb theories that could easily blow apart your whole way of life as they were unsound. You have to "get real".

I'd accept it. Anyone can be wrong. But how would I suddenly know I had been wrong?

Think from first principles understanding that a nil epistemology is makes life unknowable and dull. Essentially, correct myself.

Science is the study of the world around us. If you experiment on natural phenomena long enough, you will eventually arrive at the conclusions that all scientists have arrived at already.

That's how I felt back when I was an atheist. Turns out that being an atheist is wrong, so I gave my life over to Jesus.

I feel that atheists are fooling themselves into believing in atheism and they are not as intelligent as me, because I was able to see that I was not fooling myself.
