Is there a way to lose weight without cardio?

I usually run about 2 miles every morning, which makes me feel and look pretty good. However, I recently injured my knee and was instructed by my doctor not to run or do any strenuous exercise. I've already gained weight in the couple of weeks I've stopped running... Is there something I can do that won't put stress on my knee but will help me lose weight? Would pilates work if I did them every day?

    Skip waiting locations. When you have an visit, check in and then head out for a walk until your receptionist phones you.

    Eat less calories than you burn. That's it. oh, and i noticed he didn't say not to walk. Go for a walk instead of jogging/running, some physical activity is better than none..
