Can you crowdsource buying a house?
We give money to strangers without knowing what they are going to use it for because we like to give but not that many of us give money to people around us who need some help, let's say for buying a house. So, I'm just wondering how people would feel if someone tries to crowdsource buying a house? And no, I'm not talking about a $1,000,000 house. I'm talking a house in $100k to $150k.

I read some of them but unless I know them or someone I trust knows them I wouldn't donate. Anyone can get a picture of an injured dog or burned out house and claim they had a disaster.
A house is something that you need to save for or every homeless person would ask for one. Even if you gave someone a house they wouldn't value it like they had saved and planned and dreamed for it.
I would help out family if I knew they were doing the right things. My niece and her husband gave up smoking to save money for a house and trying to figure out how to get one. They wanted a FHA loan at 3.5% down so I gave them 7K telling them it was 3.5% of 200K. This jump started their savings and a year later they found a house. If the couldn't save the closing cost and the rest of the down payment they aren't ready to own a home.
Now my cousin needs a house, the house she rents is being sold. She has dogs so needs a house but she is over 50 and has a good job and hasn't bothered to save a down payment, she isn't ready to own. I wouldn't give her money.

Sure, you can crowdsource anything you want. But no, I would not give anyone a dime to buy a house. I've donated to very sick people and to a first-time filmmaker working on an informational documentary but that's it. If someone wants to buy a house, that's fine, but they won't get any money from me. I'll put it into my own house.

Technically you could try and crowdsource it.
Realistically no-one is going to give you money to buy a house.

Can you? You can try. Will you succeed? No. Most of us are not willing to fund some stranger's house. You will look like a greedy jerk.

don't include me in your 'crowd'
my husband suffered great pain for the down payment on our house and there is no way I would help anyone else who was not willing to put their back into getting into their own house

You can beg for money for anything you want but why would anyone give you money?
