The above may or may not be true, but it's as good as any personal opinion you're going to get. Marriage is old-fashioned. If it isn't your thing, no big deal. Some women don't care about marriage either.

for a few seconds here let's not talk about selfish benefits on either side, male or female.

the purpose of marruiage is to have children, to nurture them together, to educate them, instruct them and watch them grow, to be there at their side when they need you, to make a "family" and share experiences, to have a home and work together to be proud of what you have and what you have earned, to teach your kid things from riding a bike to building a treehouse to playing baseball to as a family going to the beach and having picnics and washing a car together and catching a fish or shooting hoops together, to go to social events and patriotic events, to let them know their grandparents and cousins and grow close to them, etc.

life is NOT all about sex, and sex diminishes as you grow older, and as you get ills and get on medications.

so get a good education and a career because if you plan on marrying you'll need to save for a home, a couple of cars, a retirement pension, and medical needs for you, your wife and family.

Stable marriages are important for raising a family. If a family is not important to you, don't get married, there's no point. If I didn't want a family, I'd have hoes in every area code, and I'm not saying that to be flippant, I really mean it.
