Is installing a patio door in home with vinyl siding the same process as installing it in home with cedar/wood siding? (Same Size Door)?
When my other door was install a few years ago I had wood siding and some of the siding was cut back for the door/trim. What if the process for doing it with vinyl siding? Do I just remove the vinyl trim channel around the outer door trim and pop the door out and then replace door normally and just size the new trim to fit within the vinyl siding. I don't know a lot about vinyl siding and don't want to mess it up too much. Any Help would be great. Most videos show process with wood siding.

You may wish to go to Youtube.com or ehow.com to find tutorials on how to do your project successfully.
I learned that there is a channel for which the vinyl siding locks into. There is care that needs to be taken when reversing or altering the vinyl system, so read up or you could have opened an area for water damage in the future.
