Place that installed it wants $75 just to come out. Does anyone know of issues with these units! How to fix it? I can easily turn off gas to get at the unit.

This is causing the areas near those walls to be very cold as well. I know the wall are insulated, but their must be some sagging or gaps. What's the best method to add insulation to them without tearing out the walls. (The area is my kitchen and the walls are behind cabinets,etc.

My problem is there is two "hot" wires in the junction box. The black Wire is hot as expected, and a separate white wire which is hot and on a separate breaker. However, the black wire appears to stay hot when either breaker is on. The other outlets in my kitchen won't work properly did someone rig this wrong. Also the white wire looks like it was pigtailed to something. Here is what I see in the box, 2 black, 3 white and a ground. Should one of the whites be pigtailed into the one that is hot?

Both switches turn the light on, but I have to flip on switch to get other to work then the other wont work. Also, one of the switches has no "hot" wires coming from the electrical box, it only get a hot wire when the one switch is on. I think there is a wiring issue since I have tried new switches and get the same issues. Help

I'm confused if this bulb is technically 72 watt or 90 watt.

I have done some cabinet shopping and noticed that there are White Maple Cabinets that appear to show now grain in the paint job. Is there a veneer over thee maple wood? The reason I ask is I am planning on purchasing unpainted maple cabinets and would like to paint them on my own. I plan on using self leveling paint etc. I think if I go with the White paint and the grain shows through it will look unprofessional, like I just slapped some white paint over my old cabinets. If the grain will show through I may just have some made or purchase the ones I see in the store.

We had an ugly drop ceiling in our kitchen that we took down to make the ceiling taller. However, when we did that we noticed that some plumbing is actually exposed and coming out of one of the soffits above the cabinets. All we need to do is have the plumbing be above the ceililng height, right now it is about 6 inches below. How much does it cost (Approx) to move these pipes up about 6 inchres so they are no longer visible? And is it a do it yourself job?

The power source comes in at my fixture. The issue I am having is at the switch box I have to continue the power on to my kitchen lights. I can get the kitchen lights to work because I have provided them with the power at the switch box, I cannot however, figure out how to wire the actual light switch. I either control the kitchen, or control the dining room with the kitchen not working. I tried pig-tailing into the hot wires and the neutral wires only to blow my fuse. What do I need to do to get this to work? This is a 2 pole switch by the way.

The power supply is at the fixture in this case. I have 2 black wires (1 is the hot, I connected the hot to the other black to continue to the switch. The other wires are 2 white wires, 1 red wire and 2 grounds. At the switch there are multiple wires, including 3 black wires, 1 red, 3 white and 3 ground. One of the black wires I know goes on to other fixtures in another room. My issue now is I cannot get my main fixture I was trying to change the switch on to work and don't know which wire to connect to the switch. Right now I have removed the switch completely so the other rooms lights will work. Here is how I have it set up now. At the fixture black to black, white to white, red capped 2 grounds capped together. At the switch area: Black (hot from the fixture) to 2 blacks, all 3 whites connected, red is capped, and grounds are together. Which wires do I connect to the switch to control the fixture and still allow the other rooms lights to work. HELP!

I have 2 Bathrooms upstairs and neither tub nor shower in either bathroom is getting water. One bathroom has a stand-alone shower the other just a tub. I can't get water to either of them. Checked all the shutoffs in utility room and everything is on. Bathroom sinks run fine as well as all other faucets in the house. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Our child is 7 months now and our dog is getting jealous. He isn't biting or anything like that. However, he never used to chew things up and recently he has started to steal baby toys and chews on them. I think this is to get attention from us. What can we do to stop this? We give him attention, he just gets jealous when he isn't the center of it.

I am running an access query based on products and sales. How can I parce out so my query only retrieves the top 100 selling products? I know I run the entire query and run a pivot table in excel, but would like to automate this in access to limit the amount of steps.

I live in a town home built in 2000. Our furnace is working fine but next to it is a duct blowing in freezing cold air - I live in MN so it is making our basement really cold and probably increasing our heating bill immensely. Anyone know what this is? Is it necessary? Can I plug it?

How can I make a more seamless transition into the next room without pulling out the tile? (Note) The next room is about a 1/2" lower than the tile due to the Hardyboard and tile and the other rooms is linoleum. Any tips or advice would be nice. Thanks,

I want to find out the monthly interest saved and how many years we have taken off the loan, especially if we continue to reduce principal.

For example 1/1/09 would be 1, 1/2/09 would be 2, etc. I would like to know a formula for making this conversion so I can then use the numbers to accrue some values over the course of the year using the numbers. Thanks.
