Cannot Get Water to Upstairs Shower or Bathtub. Yet the sinks in both bathrooms run fine.?

I have 2 Bathrooms upstairs and neither tub nor shower in either bathroom is getting water. One bathroom has a stand-alone shower the other just a tub. I can't get water to either of them. Checked all the shutoffs in utility room and everything is on. Bathroom sinks run fine as well as all other faucets in the house. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

1-Did you just move in. If so the tile stops behind the trim plate may be off. Remove handle and trim. 2types of stops 1- quarter turn: use flat head/ slotted screw driver and turn until. The grove is horizontal. 2- stem type valve. Turn counter clockwise

2- if you had work done and the water was turned off to the house. There may be debri in the cartridge. Needs to be flush out

3- standing showers only, remove the shower head, turn on shower if water comes out replace the head

4- the water lines are clogged (very rare) usually caused by either High mineral content in water, Old Galvined water lines, And if you have uour onw well water NOT CITY WATER

If the showers are back to back then call a plumber like you really should do

We are good at what we do. Get a GOOD reference

Otherwise there is a valve shut off hidden

Check if you have a supply water tank in the Attic. If so it should be full of water. If it is full of water, then check for a shut off valve on the pipeline.
