Why did Hillary go from being a center left/moderate blue dog Democrat, to now running to the left of Bernie Sanders?
She sure wasn't pushing these far left ideologue ideals back in 2008 when she was up against Obama for the Democratic nomination, or when she was in the Senate or when she was first lady in the 1990s. What's up with her radically changing so many of her positions?

In a way it's an example of 'leading from behind'. Like a general who sees his troops marching off in some direction and struggles to get out in front of them because he's their leader.
There's a theory that when a political party loses three presidential elections in a row they emerge for the next election more moderate and centrist. This was what happened in 1992 with Bill Clinton and the DLC (Democratic Leadership Conference). The Republicans characterized Clinton as an extreme liberal but he wasn't really a liberal at all--and neither is Obama.
Naturally Hillary wants to position herself at the center of Democratic thought. And the Dems have grown more liberal over the last few years! Bernie Sanders has been successful in pulling her to the left. (Though she's not to the left of Sanders.)
My own POV is that Reagan moved the political center way to the right. BOTH parties moved to the right. Now, inevitably, the center is moving back to where it used to be. The age of Reaganism and Reaganomics is truly over! Republicans still love Reagan's memory, but even they now are disgusted with his political and economic ideas.

It's not radical stance changes, but I get your point. Because, just like in the Republican primary, she's pandering to Democrats right now. Whoever wins the general (Sanders 2016!) will have to be more moderate and have more appeal, so that's when she'll go back to the moderate positions.

She's a chameleon, just like Bill. That's what they have in common, besides being impatient with the leftovers from 1950s America.

When you are running for President, you must represent all of the people.
Hillary unlike other contenders is flexible.
She is able to absorb changing conditions on the ground, and act accordingly.

Everyone knows shes a neocon and that is why she lost to Obama. Now she is trying to re identify herself as actual a liberal but neither party follows anything except the green, which is why the outliers are doing so well.

It is called PRIMARIES and since Noah landed on Mt. Ararat, politicians suck up to their base at the beginning and after give them the finger and these dummies accept being treated like the baboons they are .
