What snowblower is a decent price ( around $300) that is gas powered? A d can get the work done? At least for this year?

Wisconsin. Heavy wet snow these past few years. Needs to cover ground of about 900 square. Needs to be easier to maneuver for physical reasons.

For this year, yes, we are not supposed to have as bad of a winter s we had, the one 2 years ago was terrible, no a cheap blower will not remove that kind of snow. The snowblowers you get for 300 or less are usually 2 cycle, small engine, around 3 HP, they are good for no more than 5-6 inches of snow. I have 2, the "little" one, and it was less than $300, it is handy because it is light and maneuverable. It works great in light snow, it is useless in deep or wet snow. I have a big 8 HP self propelled job, it can move any snow that fits under the scoop, but it's not easy to handle until you get used to it.

The only way to get a large blower at that price is to buy used, watch craigslist. In Wis you need a large blower. The small ones are only for a couple inches of snow.
