No. Taxes are not socialism, taxes predate socialism by far. Taxes were even mention in the Bible by Jesus. As such the government being paid by taxes is not part of a economic principle be it socialism or capitalism. When politicians get benefits from private companies it is also not considered capitalism, its considered Bribes. Which also predates the theories of capitalism.
