The story of Tamar and Judah is probably a parable abou 2nations.

The genealogy of jesus, in matthew and Luke, don't match, and neither genealogy matches the TaNaKh.

if this is true, its more true, to say Jesus was blameless and sinless. therefore, Mother Mary was either not of the lineage of Adam but made the daughter of the jews OR she was given sanctification not having sinned even in the conception of jesus. God does not sin. and believing mary was pure, without guilt, that makes jesus a prime candidate to be born without sin to be the literal prophesied lamb of God. i dont know which theory is more true, but i do know that God does not judge the sins of the Fathers upon the children, but he does say he can visit the same sins unto the third and fourth generations, unless the children repent they are guilty of their own sins.

Jesus Christ came from the lineage of David chosen by God which makes it legitimate to me. Also in the lineage are two whores. Have you checked your lineage as far back as Jesus?

That's at least three generations of incest necessary to produce Jesus:

    1. Adam and Eve's kids had to screw each other.

    2. Abraham screwed his half-sister.

    3. Judah screwed his daughter-in-law.

Am I missing any other relatives closer than first cousins?

This is in Genesis chapter 38. Judah left his brothers to seek his fortunes amongst the Canaanites. He married a daughter of a Canaanite an named Shua and she gave birth to their son, Er. Then they had another son named Onan. The third son was named Shelah. Later, Judah got a wife for Er and she was called Tamar. But Er was a wicked man and "the Lord put him to death".

Now, the widow who had no children, should have had been given in marriage to one of Judah's other sons, who would father children by her, in his brother's name. Onan refused to make her pregnant and he died too. Judah then told Tamar to live as a widow in her father's house until the third son, Shelah, was old enough to marry her.

Years passed and Judah's wife died. Judah then went near to where Tamar was living and when this was reported to her, she took off her widow's clothes, disguised herself and sat by the roadside to "attract Judah's attention", if you get my drift. She knew that Shelah had not been given to her in marriage as promised, so she determined to fulfil leverite marriage (to raise up children for her dead husband) despite her father-in-law's intransigence. Before Judah slept with her, she obtained his seal, cord and staff as a pledge.

When she was known to be pregnant, Judah instructed her to be burned to death! (The hypocrite!) But she then produced the seal, cord and staff to prove that HE was the father and he knew this had happened because he had refused to give her his son Shelah, as he had promised.

Then, in Matthew 1:3 we read that the earthly line of descent of Jesus came through Judah, Perez and Hezron, and so on, through to King David and Joseph, Jesus' legal father. Don't forget that King David committed adultery with a married woman who became pregnant, then David ensured her husband died in battle. The line of descent shows that Jesus (humanly speaking) was in the line of King David - a qualification for the Messiah.

The Bible never covers up the sins of people who were supposed to be living much better lives as God's people ought to. Judah sinned. David sinned. They both paid for their sin. But every single forebear of the earthly line of Jesus sinned as well. We all sin. Every human in the lineage of Jesus sinned. However, Jesus obtained His humanity from Mary, not Joseph, and Jesus was born without sin. It does not matter how many prostitutes, adulterers and murderers were in the earthly line through Joseph - that line is required simply to show the legal link through King David.
