What does it mean to accept Jesus as Christ and Lord?

Do you mean accepting Jesus as Lord? It means accepting Him as your personal savior (that He died to save you knowing that you may not ever love Him back and rose on the third day) and trusting Him to guide you through life's trials by having a personal relationship with Him. This means to constantly pray to Him and ask Him for His guidance in all you do. It goes beyond a one time thing... He wants to help us turn our life around and have the Holy Spirit dwell within us.

It means accepting the best in life! You believe in compassion. You stand up for your beliefs. You know what true love it although ONLY GOD gives the truest of love. IT MEANS YOU ARE LIVING!

It means to be a good person.
A true Christian is one who follows the teachings of Jesus - to love one another; be kind, loving, forgiving, compassionate, etc to all of creation. That's it. Nothing else. That is all that Jesus ever really taught. You don't have to do anything else to be a true Christian.
Jesus never advocated dogma, rituals or worship. And he was very against the dogmatic ritualistic priests of his time.

When you surrender your life the Lord, you make a decision to stop living for yourself, to stop seeking those things would enrich and further your agenda, and to make you sole goal and desire to serve Jesus. If you make Jesus your Lord, you become His Servant. And it is an honour to serve Him! He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and He is alive, and He is looking to fellowship with you:
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me." Rev 3:20.
Jesus is waiting for us to give everything that we are, to Him. As Jesus said:
He answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Luke 10:27.
We come to realization we have sinned against God, that we have offended God and that we need forgiveness:
"for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23
We make a decision to stop offending God, to stop sinning, and to turn from living a life that pleases us to living a life that pleases God. This is repentance.
We believe Jesus Christ died for us, in our place, to give us life. As it says:
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:32
We confess our sins to Jesus.
We ask for Him to forgive us, and if we are sincere about repentance, then He promises to forgive us of all our past sins:
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:19
And we make Him the LORD and SAVIOR of our life. He died to free sinners, and He rose again from the death and has all power and authority:
""All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." Matt 28:18.
Ask Jesus for a new HEART. Ask Jesus for a new LIFE. He will everything new in your life, He will give you His Holy Spirit, and he will replace your stony heart with one capable of serving Him:
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." Eze 26:36
This is by far the best decision I've made in my life and invite others to do the same.
Jesus bless you.

obey: Name of God = Will of God = Word of God = Mind of God = Son of God = Thought of God = Image of God = Desire of God = CHRIST = GOSPEL = FIRE, etc....
"Christ" was not Jesus' last name.
