Black mold in Gatorade bottle?

So its one of those squeeze bottle Gatorade makes (I got the green with orange cap) and I recently got sick just bam and I decided to put more of my usually Gatorade mix into my bottle but first wash it and I found black substance at the bottom and all in the cap area and I tried to use a sponge but ended up using a napkin and chop stick to clean it and it looked like pure black algae but powdery/dry and idk is this what got me sick? I admit I don t wash my bottle often

    Oh My. It is mold and it might have made you sick 9no way of really knowing). You should wash and air dry your bottle every day. Gatorade has a lot of sugar in it and sugar will breed mold.

    Mold or some kind of growth could be possible. You should at least rinse it every day and wash it a couple times a week.
