if you compost an apple and feed it to an apple tree, is that cannabalism?

    No, because before it can become compost it has been food for other "creatures," such as flies, microbes, and worms. Compost is the by-product from all or some of that, so no, it isn't cannibalism unless you consider eating, er, um, poop and barf cannibalistic.

    No. Cannibalism requires choice. Trees are not sentient and have no choicem
