You need to talk to the Dr. who is treating your son for his Seizures, since his Dr. is the one and only person, who knows his situation and medical history better than anyone else does. You should not stop any kind of medication, that has been prescribed for your son suddenly or before you speak to his Dr. first. We are not Dr.s and we know nothing about your sons medical history. If you suddenly stop this medication, then your sons seizures may start happening all over again. Be a responsible parent and discuss this with your sons Dr.

You should not stop your child's seizure medicine without consulting his doctor. Furthermore, seizure medicines are usually stopped by gradually lowering the dose over a 6 - 8 week period, or a similar regimen. Stopping them suddenly risks precipitating another seizure.

This is your son? Do not risk getting answer to this on here. Ask his doctor.

Source(s): I have been seizure prone for 25 years and know that I will be taking meds for the rest of my life.
