Can I use rifled slugs for smooth bore barrels in a rifled barrel shotgun?

    I did it for a while and it worked fine, but I'd try to find someone to trade you a smooth bore. If you have a common gun like an 870 it shouldn't be to hard to find someone to trade.

    Once I got a smooth barrel it shoots more accurately, nothing major, but noticeable.

    Yes, in most cases. Should be as accurate or better.
