open house by appointment only? it makes no sense if its an open house anyone should be able to look at it.?

    Usually there is a time for the open house on the sign outside that means anyone can come and look. Maybe the agent has some folks that are pretty ready to buy...but it sure does limit the idea. Maybe the agent wants to be sure she has the time to meet you and talk to you. That would make sense.

    Open house means no random appointments

    The house could have a caretaker , homeowner, or agent who does not want random people walking around

    Usually homeowners keep the key inside with them to keep people from doing it

    PS: Tenchi Muyou havent seen that in years

    That is not an open house at all. The owner/realtor is somewhat of a dimwit. But don 't make any big thing of it. If you want to see the house, just call and make an appointment.
