What do you call it when you see a "face" on an in-adamant object?

For example, you're driving on the highway and you see its "face." as it follows your sight as you're driving. Or the the face of a mountain in the distance, or even a certain building. Almost like it's alive, but can't talk. What is that, and who sees it? I learned in in psychology class and was curious as to who can actually see a face unlike the typical living thing.

Update:

inanimate!

Pareidolia is seeing faces in mountains and clouds. What you are describing sounds like a confusion of both pareidolia and hallucination.

For both phenomena: ANYONE can see them.

in-adamant? is that like really lazy and not persistent? I think you mean inanimate and the term is pareidolia...you would think someone smart enough to do decently in a psych class would know how to spell...
