Should government take more of your money to pay your lazy neighbor's expences?

It is obvious that government has no money it earns.

Government only spends money they are taking from you one way or another.

Update:

@Vital Forces

Maybe his job was shipped oversea indeed.

But taking money from you would not help your neighbor's job to swim back to US. It might actually make your job to go oversea too.

Update 2:

@ Anonymous

Like US government does not earn money it spends, corporations do not really pay taxes they send to Washington. These taxes are paid by you, their customer.

Are you sure that you want to pay higher corporate taxes built-in into prices of your grocery?

Government should take money from the people who have almost all of everyone's money and who currently pay no or very little in taxes.

That "lazy" neighbor on government assistance should be PAID for the long hours of work they do, which the people who have almost all of everyone's money refuse to pay them enough to live on.

The other neighbor should NOT starve to death in the streets,, simply because there aren't enough jobs for everyone who wants one.

BTW, if you want to cut government expenses, instead of insisting that tens of millions of people, most of them children, starve to death in the streets, which is a TINY percent of what government spends, we should cut the war department, which exists primarily to commit mass murder.

AND we could stop giving huge piles of money to extremely wealthy people.

Right, government needs money to provide essential services. To get that money, it takes taxes. If we lived in a democracy, our tax money would be spent in accordance with our wishes.

Most Americans agree with me, not you. Most Americans agree that the people who have almost all of everyone's money should have to pay taxes; that money should be spent on GOOD things, such as preventing needless suffering and death, providing the infrastructure the country depends on to thrive, protect the citizenry, including from extremely wealthy people poisoning our air and water, or making money by selling things that maim and kill us if we consume or use them.

If you had a functioning brain, and any resemblance at all to a human, you'd understand. Since you have neither, you never will.

It is obvious that government has no money it earns. - Actually that is not correct. Many governments own assets and investment that make money.

And is you neighbour really lazy or just not that able (which is not their fault) or has fallen on hard times and so needs support. You never know. It might be you that will find yourself without work next week?

I don't suppose by "lazy neighbor" you mean Israel or any other foreign country we are funding, or corporate welfare. Obviously regressives have no problem spending "other people's money" on their endless wars and empire.

If your government isn't providing valuable services for you, then you have a problem.
