why are there fruit flies in my fire belly toad tank?

This is unusual as fire bellied toads eat fruit flies. However fruit flies are not good for your help, especialy alive. If there are fruit flies then their will be eggs. The flies may be attracted to yout toads food. However if there are many than you should try to get rid of them. But by nature your toad should be eating them. Maybe clean out the tack more often with non toxic disenfectant. Fruit flies are attracted by fruit hence their name so the best way is to keep fruit away from the tank.

Your are feeding him eggs of fruit fly in his food when they get wet they hatch out . your over feeding the poor little horned toad.

try to stay on just the facts. not what you want to believe just because you may be a 90% tor a ninety presenter.

Fruit flies are attracted to almost any organic matter- dead feeder insects, frog feces, etc.

You need to keep their enclosure clean.
