Should I say something or let it go?

Currently I'm a temp at this company. I work from home 2 days and week and I come into the office 2 days a week. I have one day off. I sit in a cube away from my manager so he doesn't see me but we have an IM system so he can see if I'm available.

So anytime my manager happens to actually see me on the designated days that I come into the office he always say " I didn't even know you where here."

How should I take this? The first couple of times I was like haha I'm here but now it's starting to bug me and I feel like it's code for something.

Should I say something or let it go?

Gee, maybe you should you stop by your manager's office in the morning and say Good morning when you arrive so that he knows you're there.

This seems fairly obvious. You're either a very quiet person or he was telling you to let him know that you're there.

To me, it doesn't sound like he's trying to be mean. But if you think he is, then go to his office and talk to him about it, very nicely. Don't get defensive or anything, just be calm and let him know how you feel. If it doesn't work out or you don't want to confront him, go to HR.

It's his way of telling you that he wants you to let him know when you come in. He doesn't want to memorize your schedule (yeah, even an easy one) or keep watching the time to see when you come in. So just pop your head in and say "Good Morning!" so he knows you came in and are available.

You are over analysing. If he is engrossed in his work why would he notice that you are there. Are you that important?
