Is time speeding up?
I was talking to a friend about some important events (wedding, class reunion) and neither one of us could believe how much time had gone by since those events. For example, I went to NC a year ago last September, but it doesn't feel like a year. I thought it was just me until I talked to other people who are experiencing the same feeling. I know a question like this begs to be trolled but hopefully some serious answers will come too.

The sensation has to do with how old you are. When you were five years old, one year was 20% of the time you've been alive - thus, a year felt a lot longer than it was, just because you had so little of your life filled up. But now, when you turn 20 years old, one year is only 5% of the time you've been alive - which is why it feels so much shorter. It's a natural sensation, but not a welcome one. Natalie made a good suggestion - often routine can make days feel much shorter and weeks feel wasted. Try to do a new thing (find a new hobby, learn a new language) to stimulate your mind. Remember - variety is the spice of life!

No time is not speeding up, we are just getting older. As you age the time goes faster and faster.

Experience new things to help time feel slow again. Do something you've never done before. Learn a new language, travel, try new foods.
