A lot of the records of the Zheng He voyages were deliberately destroyed so we cant be sure about him. The significance of Columbus was that he didn't really discover the Americas but his trips led to the long term European colonisation of the region. Previous contacts had had nothing like the same effect. Zheng He didnt lead to the Chinese colonisation of America so far as we know.

Neither.
Archaeological evidence proves Vikings discovered North America in 1000 AD, centuries before both Columbus and Zheng He were born.
The United Nations declared the site of a Viking colony (situated in what's now Canada) to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site back in the 1970s.
More recently, the archaeological remains of a Viking outpost in the Canadian Arctic were excavated.

The only time in the last 500 years anyne had ever heard that Zheng He discoevred America was after the last twenty yers when the Chinese had enough money to buy historians. As bedlam says not one historian believes Zheng ever go closer to America than Japan in one direction, and maybe.....no for sure but only maybe.South Africa in the other.
There is also the matter of evidence. We have Columbus' journals, logs, and the first hand account of thousands of Spanish settlers in the first twenty years. There is not one scrap of a ghost of a clue of a maybe evidence that the Chinese were ever here.
